Meade

Canada Foundation for Innovation
Senior Analyst - Performance, Analytics and Evaluation
Ottawa, Canada Area
Conor Meade is a proven, effective, and recognized thought leader at the intersection of economics, innovation, and public policy. He has led consulting and research projects for Canadian and global leaders in business innovation such as Innovation, Science, and Economic Development (ISED) Canada; TEKES Finland; The Asian Development Bank; National Research Council (NRC) Canada; Invest Ottawa; and Communitech. He has contributed interviews, panel appearances, and op-ed features to media outlets including Research Money, the Canadian Science Policy Centre, and CBC Radio. He feels a bit odd writing about himself in the third person.

Conor is currently a Senior Evaluation Analyst at the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), an independent not-for-profit organization that invests in state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment in Canada’s universities, colleges, research hospitals, and non-profit research institutions. Previously, Conor worked as Director, Innovation and Policy at The Evidence Network Inc., a Waterloo-based management consultancy with a focus on helping government agencies and innovation-enabling organizations develop data-driven strategic performance measurement frameworks. Prior to that, he worked at Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada as an Economic Policy Analyst, studying the socioeconomic impacts of disruptive technology. He earned an M.A., Economics from Simon Fraser University, and a B.Comm., Economics and Finance from the University of Guelph.
