André Picard is the health columnist for The Globe and Mail, and the author of four bestselling books, most recently “Matters of Life and Death: Public Health Issues in Canada.”

He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa and Carleton University and has been awarded six honorary degrees, including from UBC and the University of Toronto.
