Irem Bor-Yaliniz is currently pursuing her doctorate degree at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. She received scholarships through the Engage grant of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) in 2014, and the Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship in Science and Technology in 2015. She has been a reviewer of top-grade journals, and an active member of IEEE Women in Communications and IEEEXtreme affinity groups.
